As major celebrations approach, restrictions are often in force in the departments. For the end of year celebrations of 2024the prefecture of Pas-de-Calais recalls what are the rules to respect on the territory, concerning the sale of fuel and thepurchase and the use of fireworks. This “so that the end-of-year celebrations take place without risk for safety people and property,” it is argued.
Restrictions for Christmas and New Year
Jacques Billant, prefect of Pas-de-Calais, has decided to ban the entire Pas-de-Calais department:
- Distribution, sale and purchase of fuel in any transportable container: from Monday December 23, 2024 at 12 p.m. until Thursday December 26, 2024 at 8 a.m., then from Monday December 30, 2024 at 12 p.m. until Thursday January 2, 2025 at 8 a.m.
- The use, sale and possession of fireworks entertainment by non-professionals: from Monday December 23, 2024 at 12 p.m. and until Thursday December 26, 2024 at 8 a.m., then from Monday December 30, 2024 at 12 p.m. until Thursday January 2, 2025 at 8 a.m.
The prefect asked all security and emergency forces to be “fully mobilized for these festivities”.
