Juillan. New start for the Place Saint-Pierre bakery

New year is often synonymous with new life and new projects! After the disappointments linked to the judicial liquidation procedure put in place against the former manager, it is with satisfaction that the people of Juilla will find at the start of 2025 a brand new bakery in the town center.

The candidate for the takeover, Jérôme Martinez, became interested in the file very early on and submitted his offer in July. But the time to finalize the liquidation of the old activity and to clear the space in the premises slowed down the opening timetable. However, this is not enough to undermine the will of the new manager, who is realizing in Juillan a professional objective born 10 years earlier thanks to a retraining. Coming from a technical background, Jérôme followed the necessary training in baking and pastry to change career paths. He has perfected and broadened his knowledge through salaried practice in different establishments over the last ten years.

In Juillan, he will therefore be his own boss and at the head of a renewed team, from the beginning of January 2025. Opening on the 3rd.

Beyond a range of breads and tarts made on site, the bakery will enhance the beautiful space offered to it with a range of savory and sweet snacks, to eat on site or to take away. Jérôme wishes to offer a quality offer that will meet the expectations of the residents of the town, but also of people passing through or the many workers who come to the town daily. They will therefore be able to find, among other things, cold sandwiches, quiches, fougasses, and burgers.

The brand will now be “A la Recherche du Pain Perdu”, a name that seemed obvious to Jérôme and his partner Virginie in homage to their paternal grandmothers, both of Spanish origin, who treated them to this sweet treat.

Like a Proust madeleine…
