He received the insignia of officer in the national order of the Legion of Honor on December 17. Louis Nègre, mayor of Cagnes-sur-Mer, moved, sees “a recognition of [son] work. As president, I have been carrying out issues within the Group of Transport Authorities for years.”.
The mayor received the badges in the cozy lounges of the Hôtel de Roquelaure, in Paris, from the hands of François Durovray. The now former Minister for Transport – replaced this Monday evening by French Riviera Philippe Tabarot – discusses Louis Nègre's investment: “He is a personality who counts in the field of mobility. He is recognized on a national scale. He is in reflection and in action on a daily basis. All those who count in mobility were there, including two former ministers of Transport: Anne-Marie Idrac and Clément Beaune.”
François Durovray continues: “He knows how to express his thoughts and reminds us that mobility represents 53 billion euros in revenue and these revenues must finance mobility. He is a fervent defender of the simplification of ticketing in France. He supports the “ambition that with the same ticket we could go from Cagnes-sur-Mer to Montgeron. I share this ambition.”
