For around ten years, the couple from Hellebeekstraat have gone all out by decorating their house lavishly for Christmas. A tradition born in their previous home in Laeken. “We lived in a two-story house and there was a school next door. We started putting up a Santa Claus and garlands. The little ones from the school came to see, it was very nice and we continued.”

For Halloween, “it was madness”
Also for Halloween, the couple pulls out all the stops with a monstrous company at the entrance to their house. Witches, scary clowns, tombs, spiders… Enough to arouse great interest in the neighborhood. “It was crazy this year“, says Marie-Jeanne. “We had hundreds of people come to see. People from the city center, from Mechelen…”
