A little background music and the rays of the sun warming the office located on the 2nd floor of an old building in the center of Zurich. At the entrance, boxes still partly empty suggest a move. “This building needs to be renovated and so we need to vacate it. But our future offices will only be a few minutes away,” explains Rahul Sahgal, director of the Swiss-American Chamber of Commerce since August 1.
Barely named, the forty-year-old is already a well-known face in the Swiss media. The American elections propelled him to the forefront of the media, where he has repeatedly explained the possible consequences of Donald Trump's arrival at the White House for Swiss companies. Currently, the Zurich resident is increasing discussions with the federal government and companies to discuss the challenges linked to this change of administration. A few days after our meeting, he flew to the United States to meet people who will be part of the next administration.
