A macabre discovery. Saturday December 21, around 10:30 p.m., a couple was killed in their grocery store located in the city center of La Seyne-sur-Mer, near the port (Var), according to the police and the Toulon prosecutor's office.
The couple, originally from Marseille, had settled in Seyne-sur-Mer two months earlier, according to a press release from the public prosecutor's office.
The man, aged 29, was shot three times in the head. He opened this grocery store two months ago placing his father as official manager, perhaps because he was convicted 10 years ago for drug trafficking and was “indicted in Marseille for acts of criminal association with a view to preparing a crime”, facts for which he was currently under judicial supervision.
This man also claimed to belong to the DZ Mafia against competing grocers, a police source told RTL.
The woman, aged 31, was also fatally injured. by a shot to the head. “At this stage, nothing indicates whether it is one or more shooters even if it appears that the perpetrator(s) fired several times,” mentioned the prosecution.
It is therefore an investigation for double murder under the backdrop of revenge in the Marseille drug scene which has started. The Organized and Specialized Crime Division of the national police (DCOS) was seized of the case. Autopsies will be carried out this week.
