Coupe de – 32nd: LOSC left its share of the revenue to FC 1899

The Coupe de marks the end of the year 2024 for French clubs, including LOSC which was opposed to FC . The Normans also thanked their opponent for the recipe.

The matches in the mud, the Crédit Agricole jerseys, the exploits of Petits Poucets… All this makes the charm of the Coupe de France which, this season, concludes the calendar year. The 18 elite clubs are fighting to validate their qualification for the round of 16. Some have already fallen by the wayside, like HSC and AC. In addition to these adventures, sharing the recipe is a subject that hits the headlines season after season.

How does this happen in practice?

According to the regulations of the French Federationorganizer of the competition, the revenue is shared equally between the two clubs involved. These are calculated in a simple way. Simply remove VAT (5.5%) from ticketing revenues and salary contributions due to staff present on match day. The two groups then share the revenue 50%.

This regulation is, however, not an obligation, often overshadowed by a habit developed for years. The tradition of the Coupe de France is that professional clubs give up their share of ticket revenue to amateur clubs, which LOSC did this Friday following the match played in Rouen. management communicated on this subject this Sunday.

“FC Rouen 1899 would like to send its most sincere thanks to LOSC and its president Olivier Létang for their remarkable gesture on the occasion of our meeting in the Coupe de France. By giving up their share of the revenue, they demonstrate a fine spirit of fair play. We wish you an excellent end to the season and hope that our paths will cross again”we can read through a tweet published on the FC Rouen 1899 X account.
