The UBB overthrew at Pierre-Fabre: The are disappointed!

This Saturday evening, Union -Bègles challenged Olympique at Pierre-Fabre with a largely overhauled team.

Between the injured and the internationals left to rest, the UBB tried and succeeded in a big blow this weekend.

The Bordelais won with a score of 3 to 13.

Questioned via Sud-Ouest after the meeting, the assistant technician of the UBB, Jean-Baptiste Poux expressed his joy. Extract:

“We knew we were expected. We responded. I think the players were also excited to play this match. We had worked well this week and it went well here. Since the start of the season, we have had a hardworking spirit that remains, despite the fact that we are making a lot of changes and it is rewarded in this match.

We took Castres on these strong points, it's very satisfactory. The start was also better, we were in the match from the start. We are happy there but next week it will be yet another stage. »

For his part, Castres manager Jeremy Davidson expressed his great disappointment. Extract:

“We are very disappointed. We lost a lot of balls, we missed our opportunities. In the second half, we had 4 hits in their camp but we missed those moments when we put pressure on the opposing team.

We've been relying on our all-conquering scrum for several matches but against Bordeaux we were caught in this sector and it didn't help us. They also targeted the rucks and played very well with the refereeing. It's very disappointing to lose here because we knew it would be a big match. »
