Rufisque, Dec 22 (APS) – The town of Rufisque adopted on Saturday its budget for the 2025 financial year, established in revenue and expenditure at the sum of four billion nine hundred and thirty-nine million eight hundred and twenty-one thousand four hundred and thirty -eight (4,639,821,438) CFA francs.
The mayor of Rufisque, Oumar Cissé, took advantage of this meeting extended to the active forces of the city of Rufisque to share and discuss the financial situation of his local authority, its impact on improving the framework and living conditions of the city. population.
Among other things, he mentioned the local economic contribution of added value (CEL/VA), built land, essential to the proper functioning of his city.
''A city is the local taxes and fees. For example, in 2020, for the CEL/VA, we had 1,750,000,000 CFA Francs. In 2024, we are at 17 million CFA francs, the hundredth. This is a real problem for a town like Rufisque,'' indicated Dr Oumar Cissé on the sidelines of the municipal session.
''Which would mean that in 2025, we risk being limited to paying salaries and debts. This is not the ambition of a mayor. That's not my ambition. But it is clear that we are going to rectify this situation,'' he explained.
''The financial situation of the city is not viable. We are just in a difficult context, but we are going to make the situation in the town of Rufisque financially viable,'' he stressed.
The mayor of Rufisque promised in his management of the year 2025 to bring many innovations to pursue his major projects. He also spoke extensively about the great achievements of his city.
