NDARINFO – The Saint-Louis Handicap Association organized this Saturday the third edition of its free ophthalmological consultations. This initiative was marked by a distribution campaign for corrective glasses, mobilized thanks to the support of the “En avant Roule” Association in partnership with the Saint-Louis Town Hall and the Henry Jay Foundation.
During this event, many volunteers joined this solidarity initiative, in order to provide support to people whose financial means do not allow the purchase of glasses. “Vision correction glasses are prohibitively expensive. They are not accessible to all segments of the population. Allowing them to obtain it free of charge reassures us greatly,” declared Paul NDIONE, head of the Saint-Louis Handicap Association, who underlined the importance of this action.
“This initiative is not limited to the distribution of glasses. It also reflects a strong commitment to the visual health of vulnerable populations,” suggested Mr. NDIONE, who expressed his wish to perpetuate and expand this action by integrating more collaborative partners.
The gesture was enthusiastically received by the beneficiaries, who were able to consult eye health professionals and leave with glasses adapted to their needs.
