Stay focused and avoid ending the season coasting. This is the watchword at the CCV since the defeat at Asnières (3-1, December 8) got the better of the last attempts to reach the upper level. “The defeats against ACBB and Laval had already compromised our chances, that's it. We are missing something. We are simply not ready to be first,” regrets president-coach Jean-Baptiste Baron del Amo, who this week ceded his second cap to Brazilian central Ninao, ready to take on the challenge. “It’s a wish he’s had for a while. We will operate this way until the end of the season,” announces “JBDA”.
The CCV also announced the end of its collaboration with Edosa Ayé, co-trainer until then.
Brazilian Ninao promoted to coach
For the now player-coach, the trial run is scheduled for this Sunday, December 22, against Sartrouville, a team which has the same number of points as the Chartrains.
“It’s young, but it’s a team that has hardly changed since last season, when they were still in N3. Afterwards, they are not very comfortable outside their bases. It’s up to us to take them by the throat from the start,” confides CCV passer Rémi Cormier, who knows the opponent well since he has become friends with their centerpiece: receiver-attacker Jonas Bastia.
