Around fifty guests gathered for the traditional end-of-year meal of the French Language Workshops, Thursday December 19, at lunchtime, in two large, beautifully decorated rooms at the Maison pour tous in the Penhars district (MPT ).
These people, from all over the world, participated in this buffet in a festive and intercultural atmosphere and many of them had made a culinary specialty from their country of origin in order to share it in a spirit of conviviality.
These learners who attend French language workshops at the MPT in Penhars throughout the year have very different profiles: young students or workers, asylum seekers or housewives. They have one thing in common: the desire to learn or improve their French to achieve greater autonomy in their daily lives.
Dynamic workshops
Every week, one hundred and forty adults from around fifty countries follow French courses which are divided into four levels depending on the level of knowledge of each learner.
The workshops supervised by forty-five volunteers take place on Monday and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. People learn, depending on their level, the basics of French but also the subtleties. of the language and its culture through songs, poems and dances. It is possible to register for these workshops in French at any time of the year.
