Cyclo-cross. Valentin Remondet on his land in -Prenois

After Dublin and Namur in the World Cup, Valentin Remondet will this time only have a few kilometers to cover in order to compete in the cyclo-cross organized by Team Hauteville at the -Prenois circuit, this Sunday.

Not selected for the international rounds of the weekend (Hulst, Zonhoven), Côte-d'Orien found an ideal fallback race. “I would have liked to do others but as I was a little ill, it is perhaps a blessing in disguise,” notes Valentin Remondet. “I’m going to rest well and prepare for ( January 12 in Pontchâteau ). » Without forgetting the French stage of the international circuit in Besançon on December 29, where he will be one of the French elites in the running.

“A great experience”

26e in Dublin then 24e in Namur, Ardennes Cross Team member Gecibat returned satisfied. “I had settled around the 25e place, so it's not bad. In Dublin, the circuit was a bit unusual, with a rolling part and a fairly muddy part, but it was a great experience. In Namur, it was more complicated with double the number of entrants. I found myself in the falls at the start, I should have been in the last ten at the top of the first bump. I was a little too panicked to go up as much as possible in the first two laps, then I plateaued. I didn't manage to get any more to grab a few more places. »

Doubey – Groslambert, acts II

It is therefore with the upcoming events in mind that Valentin Remondet will take the start this Sunday in Dijon-Prenois, where Fabien Doubey (TotalEnergies) and Martin Groslambert (Van Rysel) will double, the first having clearly dominated the second at the Ornans cross, this Saturday.
