After more than a year of vacancy, the premises Joan of Arc's old McDonald'slocated on boulevard de Strasbourg in Toulouse, will see the installation of a whole new fast food never before established in the pink city: Give it to G.

A brand new brand

“When the opportunity presented itself, I quickly jumped at the chance to set up in the city center with a brand new brand. I visited the place and saw that it was very busy. I think we can do great things here,” he confided to Toulouse News.

A place with a past

The past of this brandKhaoussou knows him and he does not don't scare him. “It’s strange that we hear that a McDonald’s is closing in the city center, but above all we need to know why. Yes there was drug trafficking, but I also think there were other reasons,” he adds.

“I come from Paris, where I have had restaurants in sensitive places, I am used to them. I will do what is necessary from the opening so that all past problems do not return ».

A McDonald’s targeted by dealers

We all remember this McDonald's at the Jeanne d'Arc metro exitlocated on Boulevard de Strasbourg. A busy place, other fast food brands around, the place seemed to have everything to please. But it has been several months since the drug traffickers had set up in front of the signmigrants from Place Arnaud Bernard to the McDonald’s square. After several months of survival, Michel Réglat, manager of the fast food restaurant at the time, decided to close his brand at the end of November 2023, as he explained to Actu Toulouse.

Opening in spring 2025

« I signed about a month ago. Now we are working on the plans, we are seeing the feasibility with the architect. There are a good three months of work to be done inside. I think we can open before the end of the school year, between April and June», Says the new manager.

First G the slab in Toulouse

With its new brand, Khaoussou will be the first franchisee of G la bande in Toulouse. The French group, already established with around sixty restaurants in several cities in France,is inspired by the menus and burgers of American giantsreproducing them almost identically.
