On the other hand, Alain Battisti has just confirmed that his planes will return to Pau airport next summer, in 2025. In fact, Chalair is renewing its partnership with the Béarn platform for three summer connections, the same as this year: Ajaccio, Brest and Kerry in Ireland.
68-seat aircraft
Flights will be operated on Saturdays, from July 5 to August 30, by an ATR 72 aircraft with 68 seats. Reservations are already possible on the chalair.fr website, by telephone via the dedicated call center in Paris (0892/700/499) or in travel agencies.
“These air connections are the result of close collaboration between Pau Pyrénées airport and Chalair. They demonstrate the desire to revitalize the territory by promoting tourist, economic and cultural exchanges” underlines Chalair.
Its first commercial cooperation with Béarn began in January 2017 with a flight to Nantes. A line that Covid got the better of, but Chalair returned in 2023, already with a summer flight to Brest.
“Strengthening ourselves in Pau in the future”
“We have the ambition to perpetuate these connections,” confirms Alain Battisti today. The president who underlines his attachment to Pau, “where we wish to strengthen ourselves in the future”.
A promise which undoubtedly gives a little balm to the heart of Pau airport which is in a very poor state and which is suffering a loss of attendance.
The promise of a return of a line to Paris-Orly for spring 2025 remains “up in the air” at this stage.
