The meeting of the 32es of the Coupe de France final between Tours (R1) and Lorient (L2), scheduled for this Saturday at 6 p.m., has been canceled for security reasons.
FC Tours blamed
“The prefecture of Indre et Loire and the Town Hall of Tours noted that FC Tours was not able to put in place a system to guarantee the holding of the match in terms of welcoming the public,” explains the French Football Federation in a press release published on its website this Saturday.
“The Organizing Commission of the Coupe de France will examine the action to be taken,” adds the body without further details and therefore calls on spectators “not to go to the Vallée du Cher stadium”.

One of the Little Thumbs of these 32es final
Following administrative demotions, Tours, still in Ligue 2 six years ago, in Regional 1 this season, is one of the smallest teams still competing in the Coupe de France.
Only Mérignac, eliminated on penalties by Laval (L2) on Friday and Still-Mutzig who faces Reims (L1) on Sunday, have also reached this stage of the competition which sees Ligue 1 clubs making their entry.
