TIP STEVENS – 6MIC – LE CLUB – Aix En Provence, 13090

The 6MIC presents TIPS STEVENS Tip Stevens, singer and composer but also multi-instrumentalist, often presents himself as an eternal jack of all trades. After several years of playing across France in his different projects or producing other artists, he finally launched his solo project in 2020 with a simple concept: Present a multitude of EPs each bearing the name of a totem animal. Driven by insatiable creativity, Tip very quickly revealed his concept by releasing 3 EPs in the space of a year: “Condor” (Oct 2020), “Manta” (May 2021) then “Quetzal” (Oct 2021). 3 opuses each with different atmospheres, going from Rock to Electro and even Folk. Each release represents for him the opportunity to experiment with new musical colors without ever setting limits, the EP format allowing him to offer his community much shorter release times than with a traditional album format. Tip is very active on the internet and has over time put his community at the center of his musical project, even composing certain tracks live on the Twitch platform with them. Currently the leading streamer in the French-speaking music category, Tip Stevens takes an innovative approach to what a relationship between the artist and his audience can be by closely integrating them into the development of his universe. In October 2022, Tip will honor the coyote with an EP entitled “Kaioty”, in a pop/rock register with very British influences. An EP which marks the start of a collaboration with Floral Records, a label set up by Ponce, one of the biggest influencers on the Twitch platform. A collaboration that ultimately seems very natural and obvious to develop and advance this atypical project. In May 2023 Tip Stevens hit the ground running with his new EP “Bengal”, his most rocking opus to date. The single “Sugar Rush” sums up its essence very well: warm, sweet and crazy rock.
