The Department of Deux-Sèvres, in partnership with the Niort Hospital Center and the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service of Deux-Sèvres (SDIS 79), recently launched the project to create a common SAMU, SDIS, SAS (care access service) dedicated to emergency calls.
This platform will bring together in the same place the Alert processing center (18 and 112), the departmental fire and rescue operational center (18 and 112), and SAMU 79 (15).
The emergency numbers 15, 18 and 112 will continue to operate in parallel, while providing better coordination for an even faster response.
“The objective is to reduce response times for emergency calls and optimize available resources”explain the representatives of the State and the Department of Deux-Sèvres.“This platform guarantees immediate mobilization of the most appropriate assistance, whether for unscheduled care or critical situations. »
Namely
Total cost of the operation: 16.8 million euros, works and equipment included.
Contribution from SDIS79: 1.1 million euros.
Support from the Deux-Sèvres department: 500,000 euros.
This project was officially confirmed by the signing of a tripartite agreement signed this December.
