Green light for the future hospital of Saint-Malo – Dinan

This project includes the creation of a new territorial hospital, with a distribution of care provision between Saint-Malo, Dinan and Cancale. As a reminder, this project was selected by ARS Bretagne as part of Ségur de la Santé, in September 2021.

The cost of the operation is estimated at 445 million euros and it will be aided by the State to the tune of 177 million euros, making it the hospital project to benefit from the strongest financial support in .

A qualitative project in an area with a markedly growing and aging population

The CNIS motivated its decision by, in particular, the quality of the shared medical-care project, based on cooperation and integrated care pathways and making it possible to reconcile an offer of recourse and proximity in a territory with an aging and growing population. marked. This national body also highlighted the dynamism of the Rance Émeraude hospital group in the work carried out, which took into account the recommendations of the previous opinion by, among other things, further phasing the project.

Two more steps before work begins

Expectations were also formulated around the consolidation of the financing plan, as well as requests for details on the project management methods to monitor the various milestones of the operation.

The next step will be the transmission of the consolidated file for examination to the General Secretariat for Investment, which is responsible for ensuring the coherence and monitoring of the State's investment policy, before the final opinion of the CNIS allowing to launch operations.
