“I have been taking bus 8 for ten years, in Plescop. Last year he was sometimes late, but by 5 minutes. Since September, it's between 15 and 30 minutes depending on the time of day,” notes Yann Le Priol, a resident who does not have a car. “I’m fed up,” he gets annoyed. Looking for a job, Plescopais regularly visits the France Travail offices.
“I have to take the bus an hour early, to be sure of arriving on time.” He joined forces with his neighbor, Amandine Bouteiller, also looking for a job. Without a driving license, she has no alternative. His waiting record: 45 minutes. “I use bus 8 to go from home to the Plescop terminus, to France Travail, or to go shopping in the Leclerc area,” she explains. Last week my bus was 30 minutes late.” Nothing extraordinary, according to bus drivers: “On line 8, during rush hours, it's 30 minutes late on average.”
The splitting of the line, a pending hypothesis
The duo supports the drivers' strike movement, which began on Monday. “I understand that they are reaching this point, we must find a solution,” said Amandine Bouteiller. Yann Le Priol does not hide his annoyance at the non-responses he has received in recent weeks. “The drivers tell us: “Complain to the city”. The town tells us: “Call Kicéo”. In Kicéo, they didn't take me seriously: they told me that we couldn't do anything, that it depends on the town.”
The possible splitting of the line from Saint-Nolff to Vannes, then from Vannes to Plescop, was mentioned furtively by the president of the agglomeration, David Robo, during the penultimate municipal council. No decision has been made. But passengers and drivers are talking about it on line 8 buses. “It would cost more, that's for sure, but Plescop is a city in full expansion. More than 600 homes are being built, families will move there,” insists Amandine Bouteiller.

At Plescop town hall, Loïc Le Trionnaire, who has been receiving “more and more complaints from users for a good year”, heard about this hypothesis of splitting the line. “But it didn't work out, because the idea was to stay on a constant budget. Improving our line would have disorganized Saint-Avé,” explains the mayor, who is calling for a total overhaul of the line.
“The frequency is not good, the population has increased, the circuit is no longer suitable: outside rush hours, it takes 10 minutes by car to go from Plescop to Vannes station… And by bus , 45 minutes.
