Two municipalities in -Atlantique pool their central kitchen

Last Tuesday marked the last meeting of the year for the elected officials of the commune of Bouguenais. Among the 43 deliberations, the debates focused on the projects and their financing prospects.

First point, which was the subject of a unanimous vote, the central kitchen sharing project with the municipality of Rezé. Of a cost estimated at more than 9 million euros, the City will commit 1.6 million, the metropolitan investment support fund would contribute 15% of eligible expenses. We negotiated rotating governance, maintaining agents under the same conditions, and for the market garden, autonomy in setting canteen prices,” specifies the mayor, Sandra Impériale.

Other major works, the renovation and re-computerization of the Condorcet media library. This redevelopment will involve a closure of several weeks. Works and materials are estimated at €140,000.

This work is likely to benefit from funding from the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs (Drac) up to 35%.

124 euros per inhabitant

Projections foresee an increase in operating expenses of 1.96% due mainly to the increase in fluids and salary increases. On the investment side, expenses would be around 7.6 million euros.

In addition to the projects mentioned above, renovation work on schools and Cosec continues, to which must be added the construction of photovoltaic shade structures in the Bélians car park.

Operating revenues would increase by 2.7%, thanks, among other things, to the increase in tax bases applied to local taxes, without increasing municipal property tax rates. As for the municipality's debt, it remains lower than the average for municipalities in the same stratum, i.e. €124 per inhabitant.
