Validation of the National Youth Development Program 2025-2029
The Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture, Khady Diène Gayeformalized Thursday the validation of the National Youth Development Program (PNDJ) 2025-2029a strategic roadmap for youth policy in Senegal over the next five years.
A tool for operationalizing youth policies
During the validation workshop, the minister described the PNDJ as a central instrument for translating youth priorities into concrete actions.
“This program, designed in an inclusive and participatory manner, responds to the cross-cutting issues of this key segment of our population,” underlined Khady Diène Gaye.
She also affirmed that her ministry will mobilize all necessary means to guarantee the implementation of this ambitious program, supported by the highest authorities of the country.
Objectives and financing
The PNDJ 2025-2029financed to the tune of 318.8 billion CFA francsaims mainly to:
- Strengthen the capacities and socio-economic empowerment of young people.
- Structuring and boosting citizen engagement and entrepreneurshipparticularly in the context of territorial development.
- Develop sustainable mechanisms to encourage active empowerment of young people.
A collective commitment for young people
Mbissine Madeleine Ndior, president of the National Youth Council of Senegal, described this program as a real lever for transforming the aspirations of young people into concrete actions.
“Senegalese youth are fully committed to playing an active role in the realization of this ambitious program,” she declared.
This program is a continuation of the new sectoral policy letter for youth, sport and cultureadopted to better take into account the needs and expectations of young Senegalese people.
