POLITICS / This is what the “Ambitions for Gap” group denounces, which did not join the candidate declared for the left in the 2026 municipal elections in Gap. Charlotte Kuentz, the spokesperson, was the guest of “8:30” this Friday

Will the left leave divided for the 2026 municipal elections in Gap? For now, yes. Elie Cordier, elected in opposition since 2022, declared himself a candidate on November 14 for “Union for Gap”.
An alliance that includes Europe Écologie Les Verts, the Socialist Party, the Communist Party and the opposition groups Gap Otherwise and Territoire Ecology and Solidarity. But La France Insoumise and Ambitions for Gap are missing.
For the majority opposition group within the City, there is disagreement on the method. We do not impose a candidate before having agreed on a program for the spokesperson, Charlotte Kuentz, “It’s a matter of method. What is important for us is not to be in the symmetry of what is currently happening in the town of Gap: a hypercentralized political system on Roger Didier ».
“We are working on a project, which will make it possible to create a team and then a head of list”
For the group, citizens “are partly dispossessed of political life”. What brings Ambitions for Gap and Union for Gap together is the same objective: “that Roger Didier leaves the city and that he is replaced, but we must prepare a system which is not a symmetry of the way it operates. We are working on a project, which will make it possible to create a team and then a head of list.”
