Friday 13, Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 December, performances of the show Dance, inspired by Van Gogh, created and danced by the Arles youth ballet company (AYBC), took place at the auditorium of 2-Rhônes.
Two of the three performances were sold out and only around ten seats remained vacant during the third.
According to Norton Fantinel, artistic director of the AYBC, “it is the result of the hard and passionate work in which the choreographers and dancers have invested for four years”. And we can say that this work paid off given the incredible enthusiasm of the public and the fervor – worthy of major sporting events – which reigned in the room.
Company representatives were touched by the public’s reactions, some members of which were moved to tears.
Norton Fantinel sees in the result of these representations the hope of “quickly find new sponsors in order to become a truly professional company and to be able to help young talents integrate it”, thus giving them a chance to break into this demanding environment.
