ORIENTATION MEETING: THE STUDENT FAIR IN SATURDAY JANUARY 11 – 9:00 A.M. TO 5:00 P.M. – PALAIS NEPTUNE INFORMATION AND INVITATION

Faced with the multiplicity and richness of the training offer it is necessary, even essential, to be informed, to understand, and to be supported in order to make informed orientation decisions. Organized by the Student, in partnership with the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Academic Region, the South Region, the Toulon Provence Méditerranée Metropolis, the University of Toulon and ONISEP, this 8th edition of the Student Fair in Toulon is THE orientation meeting dedicated to high school students and students looking for information.

Having become essential, this meeting allows future students, but also their parents, to stock up on information and advice to approach questions of orientation and choice of studies as calmly as possible.

Nearly a hundred actors mobilized to provide advice and information to young people and their parents.

This show is an opportunity to obtain concrete and direct answers, a few days before the opening of the choice registration phase on the coursup platform. It provides information on the possibilities for further studies and is aimed at high school students from second grade and students of all levels.

It offers the opportunity to discuss with representatives of establishments, students, work-study students, to gather advice from specialists… and to attend conferences organized and hosted by the Etudiant editorial staff.

Training organizations from all sectors (communication, commerce, engineers, health, security/defense, environment/agriculture, digital, agriculture, etc.) offering training in traditional or work-study courses are mobilizing and making themselves available to visitors to support them in their efforts and the development of their training project.

ONISEP project managers will also be present to support students in their search for information.

· The University of Toulon

A human-sized establishment that promotes exchanges, innovation and the development of its 10,500 students spread across its three campuses (Toulon, -La Valette-du-, ), the University of Toulon (UTLN) displays a dual ambition: to assert itself around a strong identity – Marine Sciences and Mediterranean Societies – while promoting the multidisciplinarity of its training offer. Since the start of the 2024 school year, this has been enriched with new courses linked to the needs of the territory and the development of Alternation.

A positioning which, through its local roots and a highly professional aim, facilitates the integration of graduates.

Law, Letters, Languages ​​and Human Sciences, Economics and Management, Sciences and Technology, STAPS, Information and Communication Sciences, IUT, IAE and SeaTech Engineering School; teacher-researchers and students from each of the training units will be present to answer high school students’ questions, inform them about the training programs and help them make a choice to best prepare for their professional future.

· Toulon Provence Mediterranean

The Toulon Provence Méditerranée Metropolis will be present to inform visitors about the higher education, BTS and CPGE training offerings on its territory.

It will also offer all the information that is necessary for student life: accommodation, health, Campus Toulon application, etc.

CONFERENCES

Organized and moderated by a journalist from the Etudiant editorial team, the conferences allow you to benefit from expert advice and valuable information.

10:00 a.m.: What further studies after the baccalaureate?

At university, in prep class, in business or engineering school, in specialized school (art, paramedical, social, etc.) Whatever the original baccalaureate, the possibilities are numerous. But how can you make an informed choice to find your way? On the program for this round table: deciphering higher education and advice for successful orientation.

11:00 a.m.: Study economics, management and management.

These sectors open up many avenues: from finance to IT, from marketing to HR… And this in all fields and sectors of activity! Which diploma to choose according to your baccalaureate and your project? For what outlets? Overview of possibilities with stakeholders.

2:00 p.m.: BTS/BUT/Bachelor: what are the differences and how to choose?

These training courses over 2 or 3 years after the baccalaureate allow its graduates rapid professional integration or to continue their studies (master’s degree, grandes écoles, etc.). A conference for those who are not yet sure of their choice and who would like to know more about these diplomas.

3:00 p.m.: Follow scientific and technological studies.

Regardless of the original baccalaureate (pro, techno, general) or interests (physics, computer science, engineering sciences, etc.), scientific studies lead to numerous career opportunities. Prep, BTS, BUT, license, engineering diploma… Which sector should you choose?

WHY AND HOW TO PREPARE YOUR VISIT TO THE EXHIBITION?

To allow visitors to prepare essential for their visit, l’Etudiant is setting up an online version of each show accessible via its website letudiant.fr.

Future students and parents can consult in advance the list of exhibitors and their presentations, the conference program, the highlights and the schedule of events. The objective is to encourage them to start their reflection by preparing their questions to ask training establishments, companies, partners, etc.
