As he sets foot on the Stadium lawn this Sunday to challenge Monaco with his club Union Saint-Jean, Benjamin Tournier will perhaps remember that the Principality club had already smiled on him seven years ago. In 2017, the now 26-year-old scored a very nice goal against the Monegasques, while he was playing in Colomiers, in the U19 national championship.

In Capitany, Colomiers had hooked the young people from ASM, renowned for being one of the best French training centers. The video of Benjamin Tournier’s goal can be seen below from 2’24.
Having passed through the Colomiers U19s, Benjamin Tournier then played with the Castanet first team, where he tasted the National 3 championship. After several trips back and forth between Castanet and Colomiers between 2017 and 2022, he joined the Union Saint-Jean in 2022, which is playing this season at the best regional level and is preparing to face one of the best French teams.
In addition to football, the attacking midfielder is an after-school educator in a school in Castanet.
