For this last match of the year, the Amiens SC players will take the road to the Vosges, and more precisely to Épinal where on Saturday (6 p.m.), they will face Thaon-les-Vosges.
An opponent well established in the National 3 championship and well known to the Amiens clubsince this will be the third opposition between these two teams. It will be a beautiful one, since each of the two teams has one qualification. At a press conference this Thursday morning, Omar Daf was cautious. Knowingly, since he knows this competition well, which he won, but he also knows that surprises always happen. For the ASC, the goal is clear: we should not make the headlines on Sunday.
Players could thus spend a short Christmas vacation with more peace of mind, before leaving for the last first leg match against Troyes on the first Friday in January. Last week, some of the Amiens staff went to supervise Thaon who obtained a draw in Belfort (2-2) and who has been trained for several years by Romain Chouleur. For this trip to the Vosges, Omar Daf will be deprived of Sébastien Corchiawho has resumed training. Kaïboue will serve his match suspension after his expulsion against Laval and Régis Gurtner is replaced by Alexis Sauvage.
True to form, Omar Daf will field his best team of the moment, it being understood that he cannot and must not allow himself to leave too many people on the sidelines:“We must keep the same line of conduct and I will make the necessary choices to field the best team. I know that the boys will give their best and that for this last match, there is no question of relaxing. This will be an opportunity to react after our defeat against Laval. We know our opponent well and this Thaon team is not giving up. »
Omar Daf was also questioned about his career in the championship since August. The summer preparation was ideal and allowed us to achieve good performances overall.even if sometimes there were failures like in Annecy or Guingamp. But, conversely, let’s not forget the great victories won against Lorient and Clermont. A final effort for Mafouta and his teammates before enjoying a well-deserved vacation and the resumption of training scheduled for December 31.
