Truce for confectioners and works in the metropolis

A few days before Christmas and the big rush in the shops, work begins to be laid in the Clermont metropolis. For two weeks, construction sites will be stopped for the peace of mind of local residents and to facilitate access to businesses.

All work related to the realization of the InspiRe project will take a break for the end of the year. From the evening of December 20, the impacted areas will regain some calm. A good thing for local residents who will be able to make the most of the holidays and the Christmas-New Year break. This temporary stop will also allow you to find a little peace of mind when traveling in the city center, which we know is particularly busy during Christmas shopping. Companies have, when possible, put order around the work areas to facilitate travel and especially access to businesses.

Resumption of work on January 6

The break will last two weeks and three weekends, then, from Monday January 6, the construction sites will come back to life. Even if the work always seems interminable, little by little the project is taking shape with the start of surface developments which follow the work on the buried networks. This faster phase in its realization sometimes gives rise to spectacular changes which foreshadow what the city will finally be like in a year. If the numerous interventions are carried out in accordance with the initial schedule, 2025 will therefore be the last difficult year, since the new tram-buses B and C must in principle circulate for the next holiday period, just like the buses from the rest of the network which will travel on the new routes designed by SMTC-AC and T2C.
