According to a study by INSEEpublished in August 2024, 1.2 million employed people have administrative recognition of their disability in France. Some of these workers are integrated into adapted companies (EA) or work assistance establishments and services (ESAT).
An activity highlighted by the Solishop online storeone of the three projects of the Green Actes association.
Founded in 2016 and located in the Nantes metropolis (Saint-Herblain), Solishop lists on its site products made by people with disabilities. Explanations.
A hundred references
Delicatessen, well-being, gifts, the online store offers a variety of items, labeled “Handi-made in our regions”. Creators located in the west, south-east, south-west and north of France.
“We have around a hundred products referenced and we work with around twenty establishments throughout France »specifies Périne Wannyn, Solishop manager, contacted by Nantes news.
On a daily basis, Solishop promotes the know-how of producers with disabilities. “At Solishop we support Esat. We help them promote their product, particularly on social networks,” adds Périne Wannyn.
Support inclusion
As mentioned previously, Solisphop is part of the Green Actes association, catalysts of three projects: Solisoph, Solitudiant and Solinnov.
The objective: promote the ecological transition et promote inclusion. The latter is integrated into business thinking, believes Périne Wannyn.
There is a change in mentalities in companies, particularly with the SEEPH (European week for the employment of people with disabilities, Editor’s note). During festive events, we have companies purchasing products from our store. This is another way of achieving inclusion. It shows that it is possible to make quality products despite the disability.
In the final stretch of Christmas, Solishop is working to manage orders. Since September, the store has implemented a new purchase and resale system.
A change in model which allows the solidarity e-boutique to reference producers with disabilities who, previously, could not ensure individual delivery of their products.
“This development allows us to further highlight the exceptional quality of the products in our inclusive store,” concludes Christian Avice, volunteer with the GreenActes association.
