The first words of Ngoné Mbengue who is acting as Barthélémy Dias

In the city of Dakar, Barthélémy Dias was stripped of his functions by the prefectural authority. Now, it is Ngoné Mbengue who is acting as interim manager. She has just spoken out about the situation that currently prevails. Barthélémy Dias is no longer mayor of Dakar. Pending the examination of the appeals he has filed before the competent courts, it is Ngoné Mbengue who is acting in the interim. The latter spoke about the new responsibilities that await her. “Today as interim deputy mayor, I will do everything in my power to continue the work. And follow the agenda that the mayor had left by focusing on everything that is a priority for the people of Dakar,” she declared on Rfm. As for the municipal council meeting, which was scheduled for this Thursday, Ms. Mbengue declared that the prefect of Dakar informed them that they had not respected the three-day deadline. “Article 146 provides that the time limit for convening an ordinary session is 3 clear days. And that for an extraordinary session, the deadline can be 24 hours. This is the only reproach he made to us, that of not having respected the deadlines of 3 clear days,” indicated the interim mayor. Now the city council meeting is scheduled for next Thursday.
