The market in the Penhars district now takes place every Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the square in front of the Maison pour Tous.
On Wednesday afternoon of December 18, there was a Christmas atmosphere there, despite the gloomy weather.
Among the stands offering foodstuffs, the presence of one of them, nicely decorated and run by young people from the neighborhood, did not go unnoticed.
Accompanied by an educator from the Massé-Trévidy foundation, a group of young girls offered for sale sweets and pretty jewelry made by them; initiative taken to help finance an outing during the next summer vacation.
A little further away, the L’Objethèque association, where several people came with used objects hoping for a helping hand to bring them back to life, was appreciated.
And then, taking refuge under a large tarpaulin, young children from the La Cascade leisure center sang at the top of their lungs with their leaders before giving way to other choirs, who brightened up this particularly rainy market afternoon.
