A young woman explains that she escaped a kidnapping attempt in Clermont-Ferrand, Wednesday December 18. The events took place at 11:35 p.m., rue Jean Richepin. According to the police, the suspect, a man in his thirties, tried to force the victim into his vehicle while she was going to her sister’s house. The 27-year-old young woman describes the scene to them. The man allegedly arrived by car, stopping next to him. He then ordered him to get on board.
“He had one hand in his pocket and was pointing it at her, as if he had a gun,” describes the Clermont-Ferrand police station. The victim then tried to call her companion to come and help her, but the suspect snatched her phone from her hands. According to the young woman, he then tried to force her into his car. The young woman explained to the police that she pushed him away, and to escape, she hit him on the head with a bottle of wine that was in her bag. She then reported her attack to the police. The young woman then explains to the police that she is able to describe the individual to them, as well as his car. The Clermont-Ferrand dog crew intervened to collect clues to find the attacker on the run.
The individual is quickly identified. And for good reason! In fact, shortly after, the man called the police in turn, reporting that he had been attacked by a woman and suffered a head injury.
