Parking, budgets, housing and hikers’ house will be debated in this Thursday

The elected officials of the Auxerrois agglomeration council will meet at 9 a.m., at the Salle Vaulabelle, this Thursday, December 19, 2024 to dissect an agenda of 3,000 pages. The vote on the initial 2025 budget will be the central point. No tax increase planned this year, after the creation of a tax on built land in 2023 then its increase in 2024.

4.4 million euros for experimenting with collection at voluntary drop-off points

The executive will propose a budget of 51.7 million euros (M€) of cumulative investments in the main budget and the ten annexes. €8 million of work is planned on the water networks, €6.7 million on sanitation and several loans for the Venoy EcoParc (€1.67 million), the AéroParc in Branches (1.3 million €) and the hydrogen station in (€1.6 million). This budget includes a payment of €2.7 million for the southern bypass and €4.4 million to experiment with collection at voluntary drop-off points.

The Agglomeration will decide on the departmental plan for welcoming Travelers, revised in July. The community will have to create a 4 ha high-traffic area (designed in Venoy), rehabilitate the permanent reception area on the Route de Toucy and create a second site with 25 spaces.

The merger between the Auxerre Housing Office (OAH) and Polylogis must take a new step towards the creation of a social housing enterprise. A merger/absorption of the OAH by the private group is planned by January 1, 2026. The latter would recover the 6,000 housing units and 138 agents from the social landlord, and would be responsible for developing the housing supply in the region.

Parking management for a private person?

The city council will meet at 6 p.m. 27 M€ of investments are announced for 2025. In addition to the southern bypass (3 M€), the City is spending 4.3 M€ for the Rosoirs district, 2 M€ for the Saint-Germain abbey, 1.9 M € for the Rive-Droite school group and €1.8 million for the end of work on the conservatory.

The session must mark the end of the local public service of the hikers’ house, which would be managed by the tourist office. Finally, elected officials will deliberate on the launch of a public service delegation for parking. A private company would manage pricing, parking, fines, in return for the creation of a silo parking lot with 450 spaces and the renovations of the Arquebuse and Pont undergrounds.
