CHRONICLE – Talking about neoliberalism about our country is completely comical when we know that it has 3,250 billion euros in debt and that we have spent ages on 5 million civil servants.
While waiting for the long-awaited reforms, there was a fascinating debate last week in front of an audience of business leaders with Manuel Valls and David Lisnard at the invitation of Loïk Le Floch-Prigent. The theme: “Is France liberal? » Some, among my most esteemed colleagues, assure without laughing that France is even neoliberal! Moreover, from LFI to the RN, it is a well-shared opinion.
Talking about neoliberalism about our country is, however, completely comical when we know that it has 3,250 billion euros of debt, that we have spent ages on the 5 million civil servants, that the burden of the debt exceeds 50 billion, soon close to the amount of income tax, that we are European champions of compulsory deductions and that a prime minister coming from the right, Michel Barnier, was recently preparing to further increase the bill with a budget…
