“Come on, let’s take the photo!” »: In , Soprano moves the crowds to the Capuchins [Vidéo et photos]

In the absence of a concert from the new tour, fans of Soprano were entitled, this Wednesday, December 18, 2024, to a giant signing session. Because that’s the right word, there was such a large crowd at the Capuchins. A gigantic line took up the entire length of the Place des Machines. In total, around 800 people were able to approach the singer, who arrived before the announced time of 4 p.m. and who was supposed to stay until around 8 p.m. (at more than 10 p.m., he was still there!). But the fans were much more numerous, and the organization had to, at the start of the evening, turn back those who were still waiting.

“We’re going to see it up close!” »

“We’ve been here since 1:30 p.m. for the dedication which starts at 4 p.m.,” explains the mother of Emma, 5 years old. And yet, they are not even among the first who will be able to approach the star, even if, around 4 p.m., the singer was no longer very far away. The little girl patiently waits in line with her “I love you Soprano” drawing, which she plans to give to the singer, accompanied by her cousins, Noah and Ethan, 9 and 12 years old. They were the ones who introduced him to Soprano a year ago. “We already did one of the concerts in Penfeld in September. But here we are going to see it up close! », says Noah, very excited.

Pauline, 16, is stressed when approaching her idol. “She’s been a fan for eight years,” slips her mother, who accompanies her. “I have already seen him six times in concert, and I high-fived him once,” explains Pauline, before nervously joining her idol. ” How are you ? Come on, let’s take the photo,” smiles Soprano. A hug, photos, a few words exchanged, a signature and it’s already over. “He was very nice,” says Abel, 22, in the cable car, after meeting the singer. “I told him that I couldn’t wait to discover his new album,” he continues, stars in his eyes.

“He rocked our childhood”

Because some fans have not yet had time to listen to “Émancipation”, released on December 13, 2024. This is particularly the case of Annaëlle and Océane, both in their twenties, who had to organize themselves to come . “I asked for my Wednesday afternoon. I’ll be working all weekend, but oh well, it’s worth it! », exclaims Océane, in front of the shop set up for the occasion and which allows fans to buy an item to have autographed. “Soprano rocked our entire childhood, we didn’t want to miss that,” insist the young girls.

At the end of the line, Marina, 38, dragged her daughter Léa, 16, to the dedication. “I’m the fan,” laughs the mother. Arriving around 4:35 p.m., after work, the mother was preparing to wait a long time, and was still hopeful of reaching Soprano by 8 p.m.

A queuing ordeal that some didn’t even want to attempt. Around twenty people preferred to watch the singer from afar, from the side. Among them, Christine, 70 years old. “I like what he does. I don’t have the courage to wait in line and I can see it from here. It’s still nice,” she concludes.
