Yes, “The Nutcracker” will be on the program for this dance gala, with a troupe of 30 artists to accompany two soloists, who will perform legendary pas de deux. Tutus, pointe shoes and Tchaikovsky soundtrack: it’s all there!

Tchaikovsky ballets at Femina, January 8 and 9 at 8 p.m.

Less close in the calendar, but just as relevant, the shows offered by the Ukrainian Ballet of Odessa will delight young and old, to start the year with a bang. “Swan Lake” and “Sleeping Beauty” are two masterpieces by Tchaikovsky, at least as famous as “The Nutcracker”.

“Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” in film concert, Arkéa Arena in Floirac, December 28 at 8 p.m.

“Harry Potter” marathons have recently become a part of many homes’ Christmas traditions. To rediscover this literally magical atmosphere, the Yellow Socks Orchestra offers a film concert of the fourth volume of the adventures of the wizard with glasses, with the original soundtrack of the film played live in front of the big screen which projects the film.

Radio Classique Christmas concert, auditorium, December 19 to 22

For those who stayed at the Bordeaux Opera, why not go and attend the Christmas concert of the Bordeaux Aquitaine National Orchestra? “L’Arlésienne” by Bizet, “Le Beau Danube bleu” by J. Strauss and extracts from musicals made on Broadway will be on the program of this participatory concert, subject to public voting. To hear your favorite music, you will have to go to the auditorium and vote by show of hands to choose the works which will then be played.

“The Magic Flute” by Mozart in UGC cinemas, December 19 at 7:30 p.m.

This production, by Cédric Klapisch, delighted the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in 2023, and is now broadcast in all UGC cinemas in .

It’s a great diary to spend Christmas, certainly without “The Nutcracker”, but with a festive heart!
