The start of the week was lively for the motorized unit of the Metz municipal police. Several offenses were noted in Metz-Est and Metz-Centre. From 8:45 a.m. on Monday, the police checked a 24-year-old driver in a Renault Mégane. The latter was driving without a license, lacking insurance and technical inspection. His vehicle was impounded. A little later, a 21-year-old driver was noticed while driving an Opel Corsa without a rear license plate, all without a license and under drugs, in this case cannabis. Finally, a 41-year-old driver whose license had been canceled was spotted while driving in a small utility vehicle with an illegible license plate.
Four fake licenses and a fake ID card in eight days
This December 18, a motorized patrol again intercepted around 11:50 a.m., around the East expressway, a motorist who had committed an infraction. During the usual checks in the files, it turned out that the number plates affixed to the Mercedes vehicle were usurped. The provisional registration was reassigned to another model and type of vehicle. The offender, aged 44, was driving with a false license and without insurance. His car was confiscated and impounded.
In eight days, 4 false licenses and a false identity card were detected by the road unit. People are exposed to sanctions by the police court.
