For the town hall and its citizens, these spaces have special importance within the municipality. “Green spaces play an essential role in providing places to relax, improving air quality and promoting biodiversity. They make it possible to limit the artificialization of soils. They also strengthen the social bond between residents and contribute to the attractiveness of the city,” explains the town hall.
A collective interview
To be able to enjoy “a flowery environment with a better quality of life”, according to the town hall, several people of the municipality but also the inhabitants are mobilizing to save these green spaces.
“The maintenance of green spaces is ensured by the dedicated municipal service, which ensures their cleanliness and beautification throughout the year. Initiatives such as the Flower Gardens and Balconies competition also encourage residents to actively participate in the beautification of their living environment,” confides the municipality.
Finally, the town hall attests, other actions will be carried out in order to continue in this way. “The city plans to intensify its actions in terms of sustainable management of green spaces, in particular by installing cigarette butt collectors to reduce pollution linked to cigarette waste. This initiative aims to raise citizens’ awareness of the importance of preserving the cleanliness of public spaces and protecting the environment,” concludes the town hall, determined to keep your green thumb.
