A festive and engaged atmosphere will invade the city center of Albi this Friday, December 20. For the first time in Tarn, the canton’s Young Farmers’ Union is organizing a Christmas parade, with tractors lit for the occasion.
« Young Farmers parade on tractors for Christmas! Come and experience a magical moment on Friday December 20 in downtown Albi from 7 p.m.,” announce the organizers on their social networks. The event, free and open to all, promises a magical spectacle. In addition to the parade, local products and surprises for young and old will be offered to the public present.
A Christmas parade in Albi, despite a tense period for farmers
This Christmas parade appears to be a break in a tense context for farmers. Since November, agricultural unions have once again expressed their anger in order to demand the promised measures by the government at the start of the year, in terms of aid and administrative simplification. Also, they are worried about the impact of the free trade treaty between the European Union and Mercosur in Latin America.
