A question at the heart of the debates

The question asked to residents will be clear: are you for or against the removal of the new traffic plan in Chenôve? The referendum comes after a phase of experimentation with the arrangements put in place since the summer. “As the question is of general interest, it is relevant that it be the subject of a referendum,” explained Mayor Thierry Falconnet in the municipal council.

The electoral campaign will take place from March 3 to 14, each voter will receive ballot papers marked “for” and “against”. For the result to be validated, two conditions must be met: the participation of at least 50% of those registered and obtaining the majority of votes cast. Otherwise, the referendum will only have one advisory value. If the procedure is validated, this referendum will constitute a first for Chenôve.
