The “Tbourida Show” sublimates Moroccan equestrian art in Doha – premiumtravelnews

The Morocco Qatar Cultural Year 2024 was rich in significant events highlighting Moroccan tangible and intangible heritage, while reaffirming the strong ties of friendship and fraternity linking Morocco and Qatar.

Elletestifies to the depth of the strong and historical ties between the two brother peoples and the two Heads of State, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God help him, and His Highness Sheikh Tamim Ben Hamad Al Thani.

To celebrate the closing of this Cultural Year, an exceptional Tbourida show was organized this Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at the emblematic Al Shaqab equestrian center in Doha.

Chaired by Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa, in the presence of Her Excellency Sheikha Sara Bint Hamad Al Thani, the “Tbourida Show” delighted the guests and brilliantly highlighted this Moroccan equestrian art.

Distinguished guests, senior government representatives and major personalities admired this breathtaking spectacle where the glorious past of Morocco met the present of a modern Shereefian Kingdom open to the world.

The event was made possible thanks to Sorec, official partner and RAM, official carrier of the “Tbourida Show”.

The Tbourida Show with these 5 troupes and 65 riders revealed a high level of technique and coordination between riders and horses. The outstanding performances of several teams led to their selection to represent the Kingdom during the Qatar-Morocco cultural year festivities. These teams, from various regions, embody the richness and diversity of Moroccan traditions.

1. Charaf Al Bahraoui: Winner of the Grand Prix of His Majesty King Mohammed VI in El Jadida, this team shone with its perfect harmony and technical mastery.

2. Sikas Rachid: Captain of the “Al Hassan” team, he excelled in leadership and precision of collective movements, guaranteeing exemplary performances.

3. Benkheda Abdelghani: Rewarded for his mastery of traditions, his team has won national and regional competitions, reflecting a deep respect for Moroccan heritage.

4. Hihi Ali: Representing the Oriental, he impressed with the cohesion of his team and his technical expertise during the collective phases.

5. Al Nasihi Ibrahim: Flag bearer of the South, his team enhanced Moroccan cultural diversity with authentic and spectacular performances.

These teams embody the excellence and cultural wealth of Tbourida, while strengthening the identity and heritage influence of Morocco. The “Tbourida Show” thus allowed this Cultural Year to close this year on a memorable note, while symbolizing the unity of the two nations and their common commitment to preserving the equestrian and cultural traditions of the region.
