Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa and HE Sheikha Sara Bint Hamad Al-Thani, chaired, on Tuesday at the Al Shaqab Equestrian Center in Doha, the “Tbourida Show”, a prestigious show which brings to a climax a whole year of events celebrating the exceptional fraternal relations between Morocco and Qatar.

Indeed, this Equestrian Show, organized at the end of the Qatar-Morocco Cultural Year 2024, highlights a traditional popular art engraved in gold letters in the heritage of Moroccans and practiced to celebrate festive moments.

Inscribed since 2021 on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity of UNESCO, this discipline, which combines speed, endurance and grace, reflects Morocco’s particular attachment to the horse, this divine creature rooted in the heritage traditions of the Kingdom.

This ceremony began with the screening of a video retracing the highlights of the Qatar-Morocco Cultural Year 2024, organized at the initiative of “Years of Culture” and which testifies to the depth of the strong and historical ties between the two brother peoples and the two Heads of State, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God help him, and His Highness Sheikh Tamim Ben Hamad Al Thani.

Subsequently, the audience followed the passage of the participating Sorbas, one by one, for the “El Hadda” salute, before they performed four series of Tbourida.

HRH Princesse Lalla Hasnaa and HE Sheikha Sara Bint Hamad Al-Thani ont ensuite été salutes par les Moqaddem des Sorbas ayant pris parte a ce show, à savoir M. Charaf El Bahraoui, Moqaddem de la “Sorba” de la région Marrakech-Safi (Safi provinces), M. Ali Hihi, Moqaddem de la “Sorba” of the Oriental region (province of Guercif), M.
