The year 2025 will be busy for the Radisson group in France. While the reopening of the Cour des Loges in Lyon, transformed into a luxury Radisson Collection hotel, is expected in the first quarter, the group has just announced two new developmentsone in Rueil-Malmaison and the other in Montpellier. Also expected in the first months of the year, these openings will be the result of the conversion of existing hotels, primarily geared towards business customers.
« These new signings and conversions mark a crucial step in our expansion strategy across France“, said Valérie Schuermans, VP in charge of business development for Western and Central Europe at Radisson Hotel Group. With nearly 25 establishments in operation or under development in France, the group will enrich its portfolio in the Paris region at the start of 2025 with the Radisson Hotel Paris Rueil-Malmaison thanks to the takeover of a four-star hotel, the Relais de la Malmaison, located on a 2.3 hectare park.
Owned by Turenne Hôtellerie, the establishment is currently undergoing complete transformation to adopt the standards of the Radisson brand by the end of 2025. However, it will benefit from unchanged advantages for business customers, in particular its location close to the business centers of Rueil 2000 and La Défenseas well as its accessibility with the RER A around ten minutes on foot and quick access to the A86.
On the edge of the Seine and the Golf de Rueil, in a green park of more than two hectares, the future Radisson Paris Rueil-Malmaison is equally conducive to relaxation, with a spa, two tennis courts which will soon be transformed into padel courts , as well as a swimming pool, but also for hosting urban seminars, but in the countryside. The establishment has a vast event space, spread over two buildings and made up of twelve meeting rooms and a 300 m² Orangery to host various professional events. Concerning the F&B part, the hotel will also offer two restaurant areas, all in a peaceful setting, far from the hectic pace of the capital.
High-end in Montpellier
The other establishment expected in France in the first quarter of 2025 is more urban, since it is located a few minutes from the Place de la Comédie and the Le Corum Congress Center in Montpellieras well as 15 minutes on foot from Saint Roch train station. Previously under the Crowne Plaza brand, the hotel will undergo a renovation phase during 2025 to meet the standards of the high-end Radisson Blu brand.
In this context, its 144 rooms will be modernized, as will its public spaces, decorated with new works of art. The Radisson Blu Montpellier will have a large lobby with bar and an outdoor swimming pool with adjacent terrace. But, for business travelers, the establishment also offers a good capacity to host meetings and events with, today, five rooms that can accommodate up to 150 people.
