Richard Meinier, a resident of in Saint-Malo (Ille-et-Vilaine), deplores the “state of abandonment” that he sees around certain buildings in his neighborhood. Here is the open letter he sent to us:

“I recently became the owner of an apartment, rue des 3 journals, sold by SA LA RANCE**. I note that the green spaces bordering the accommodation are the property of the municipality of Saint-Malo, which must maintain (at a minimum) the said… ‘green space’.

Lichens, mousse

Stairs, asphalt roads, parking lots: certain surfaces are covered with lichens and moss, which gives an “impression of abandonment”. These spaces are truly… green!

Faced with these spaces, owned by the City, I thought, on Christmas Eve, to take charge of cleaning the surroundings of the building…. I was given to understand that “it was none of my business!” »

Being in winter, perhaps the reduced workload will allow the intervention of the service concerned?
