For three years, the department of Seine-Saint-Denis strengthens its preventive actions against gambling and the sports bettingpractices that are often trivialized among young people. To make them aware of the dangers of these platforms, the Head to Headan information, listening and prevention space for 13-25 year olds, offers the exhibition “Ca$h Ca$h, the hidden side of gambling“, currently presented at the shopping center Westfield of Rosny-sous-Bois and available until October 2025.
Entertainment, adrenaline, mechanisms of influence…
The “Ca$h Ca$h” exhibition immerses visitors in the brilliant world of casinoswhether they are physiques or in ligne. Educational activities punctuate the journey: a poker tablea “cash roulette“, and safe or even digital arcade machines. “Here, the game is played without any risk. We seek to highlight the excitement of a player after a win and the emotional roller coaster experienced by someone who can lose a lot very quickly while thinking they can recover“, explained Yasmina, a structural professional.
“The first part of the circuit focuses on the player’s feelings, the notions of entertainment, adrenaline which can hide another reality such as addiction, financial losses and their social consequences“, Yasmina clarified. “The second part focuses on the influence mechanismsoperating on strong emotions, virilism or peer pressure when these games are played in groups“, she continued.
To make an impression, the exhibition diverts marketing strategies for online gaming platformsparticularly via educational videos, quizzes and prevention advice. She also points out that scratch games, like EuroMillions, cause people to lose on average one euro for every two euros bet.
An initiative reinforced during the Euro and the Paris 2024 Games
