During the Board of Directors of MEDEF Île-de-Franceon December 13, Bruno Berthet was unanimously elected president of the organization for a three-year term. He succeeds Daniel Weizmannwho led the regional MEDEF for six years. Entrepreneur in aeronautics and president of the Metallurgical Industries Group (GIM) since 2019, Bruno Berthet arrives with an ambitious vision: to structure a MEDEF that is both representative, unifying and close to Ile-de-France companies.
A project of unity and proximity
Bruno Berthet wishes to place his mandate in the continuity of the actions of Daniel Weizmann, while instilling a new dynamic. Its ambition is clear: to strengthen links between businesses, public actors and territories. To this end, he advocates a “policy of reinforced proximity“, aimed at developing local membership and improving the coordination of regional initiatives.
“At a time when there is real political uncertainty in our country, I am convinced that intermediary bodies, including the MEDEF, have a unifying role to play.“, affirmed the new president.
This vision is accompanied by a desire to pursue strategic partnerships, particularly those initiated with national education. These cooperations aim to promote employment and training in response to the needs of Ile-de-France businesses.
Expanded collaborations with the Region
In close collaboration with the Île-de-France regionBruno Berthet also intends to mobilize economic skills expanded of the latter. MEDEF Île-de-France also wishes to rely on its solid local network, made up of seven territorial MEDEFs and forty professional federations, to remain an essential partner in the face of current economic and social issues.
