In a few days, 5 police officers were beaten up in Nice. While justice must render its decision regarding the most recent attack, the prefect of the Alpes-Maritimes came out of his reserve to support the police.
“The three main perpetrators of the violent attack which targeted two off-duty police officers last week in Nice have just been placed in pre-trial detention pending their trial. We must welcome this highly anticipated decision ” greets Hugues Moutouh, state representative in the Alpes-Maritimes, this Tuesday, December 17.
“It is because I no longer want to see representatives of the law beaten up by gangs of savages in the streets of our cities that I am asking Justice for the greatest firmness” he then bombs.
“We must put an end to the unbearable feeling of impunity of offenders. For the law to remain strong, fear must change sides.”
“Not a week goes by without a police officer being injured during an intervention.“, a member of the National Police told us this week.
Before the attacks committed in recent days in Old Nice and the Libération district, another incident had not made the headlines in the media – except on Nice-Presse – but it was no less serious: a simple check quickly degenerated at the beginning of October at Ariane.
Individuals had gathered to surround and threaten agents: quickly, two crews were surrounded by young people (around twenty…), then targeted by a rain of projectiles.
Impossible for the officials to escape without tear gas grenades. Fortunately, none of them were injured. The screen-printed cars had to turn back!
