On the occasion of the 3rd regional zone round of the Coupe de France, the Gourdon team received this Sunday, December 15, the Haut-Garonnais from Magnanac.
The Gourdonnais started timidly during the phase of individual games by winning only two games out of six, with the victories of Alexandra Bornes and Mickaël Iragnes.
Very good reaction from the Bourians during the doubles games with three very important successes, which allowed them to regain leadership on the scoreboard, leading 11 to 10.
The mixed doubles from Gourdon, Alexandra Bornes and Sébastien Da Cunha, easily won their match, as did the duo Francis Leman and Lucas Foulhac.
On the other hand, Mickaël Iragnes and Gaétan Ardouin had to draw on their resources to achieve a decisive victory, 13 to 11.
In the final triplet phase, the situation was simple: with a victory, the match would be won by the Lotois. Nothing was easy because after a first defeat, the mixed Gourdonnais team of Alexandra Bornes, Sébastien Da Cunha and Mickaël Iragnes was trailing 10 to 5. From there, the talent and self-sacrifice of the Gourdon players made it possible to overthrow the trend, winning 13 to 10.

Congratulations on this painful success which, in addition to qualifying for a round of 32 which will be played next February, directly qualifies the Bourians for the zone phase of the future season.
