The labor market situation was characterized by a low activity rate, since around four out of ten people aged 15 and over (41.6%) will exercise economic activity in 2024, compared to 47.6 % in 2014, he stressed.
Regarding the difference in this high figure compared to studies carried out by the delegation, which indicate that the national unemployment rate remains around 13.7 percent, Benmoussa explained that this difference in figures is “natural”, because the unemployment rate 21.3 percent was achieved through citizen declarations.
