Wednesday December 4, 2024it is with great fanfare that the company Thomas service maritimeTSM, inaugurated its new installed base at the Dakar course.
With a breathtaking view of the port of Dieppe (Seine-Maritime), this new base will serve as a storage location for the company specializing in boat towing.
The president and CEO of the company, Loïc Thomas, who personally visited the site for local oils, including the mayor of Dieppe, Nicolas Langlois, the president of the Agglomeration Sébastien Jumel, and the president of the Normandy Region, Hervé Morin.
Great pride
“This base will allow us to store parts for the maintenance of our tugboats. Its position makes a lot of sense, because boats will be able to dock very close to here. Working on the port is ideal for us,” underlines Loïc Thomas.
During the visit, the latter repeatedly underlined his pride in seeing his premises open in the city of four ports, he who is also proud that all his boats sail under the French flag.
An elevated building
It must be said that this new base also had to take into account the constraints linked to the risks of marine submersion which affect the projects planned on the South Zac.
“This proves that we can adapt to the risks of flooding by taking appropriate measures,” underlines Nicolas Langlois in particular.
The building, which consists of 1,000 m² of warehouse and 250 m² of offices, was raised by 60 centimeters.
“This is the first port open to the sea to which TSM had access” adds Loïc Thomas. The overall investment for the company amounts to 3.3 million euros.
